Apparently Event Cinemas has decided to introduce a "no free tickets" list for new release films.  Currently you can't use Cinebuzz Rewards points to see A:IW, Deadpool 2 or Solo.

It seems to have been introduced in the last week or so.

Is it also in New Zealand?

That's a bummer but I usually see MCU/Star Wars movies more than once anyway so I can always use free tickets for later showings. The only question is how long does this last for since AIW's been out for a couple of weeks now? And I saw that you sent an email asking them about it in the Aussie thread so I'll be interested to see what they reply. If they even do reply, that is.

IW has almost reached 0.75 Wilderpeoples. Very impressive.

Not quite sure how DP2 is gonna do, tricky finding comps that opened on non-holiday Wed's. I'll go with a five day of 2.2M, which would be the equivalent of a 150M OW.

Solo around 1.2, DP2 900k

That'd be 46% down from RO, so it's saving a little bit of face there in relation to pretty much every other market but overall...

Not half bad for DP2 though. Solid hold.
