Definitely performing better in Australia.  OD is more than double both Logan and Dr Strange.

Yep. But school holidays start today, so I'm thinking it'll pick up in the next few weeks.

For reference:

Spider-Man: $2,000,825

Spider-Man 2: $1,828,071

Spider-Man 3: $1,361,430

TASM OW: $1,071,246

TASM 2 OW: $905,203

I think SM:H will do roughly 1.2M based on the OD. Beating Spider-Man 3 would probably be the absolute high end.

Thanks rth!

I think that's fourth highest OW this year, after BatB, F8 and WW. Guardians would have beaten it if it had a normal weekend release though.

Pretty much proportionate to a 90-115M OW in USA.

I went back and had another go at this, to try get it in local currency (which paints a bit of a better picture in my opinion). BOM made it a total pain in the ass because they don't give the yearly charts in local currency, just USD. So I went and got the top 100 from each year and then did some fancy math stuff so that I had the approximate totals in NZD. It won't be totally perfect since the exchange rate fluctuates over the year, but it *shoud* be fairly accurate. Another hiccup is the fact that BOM doesn't go back past 2002. So it is missing some stuff (notably the first Lord of the Rings) but for the most part the New Zealand market has really expanded over that time, so I don't think that there would thaaaat many things missing from this list*. The full spreadsheet actually has about 1500 films on it, but I'll just put the top 100 here.

So, lo and behold:

Tried posting this above but it messed up and I can't do anything with it. Weird. I think the spreadsheet was too big.

Anywho, I changed the NZ OW All Time Chart from BOM to local currency. Might be missing some stuff on the bottom half of the list though, since exchange rates would kick some stuff out that would otherwise be in the top 100, but a decent picture of opening weekends in New Zealand regardless.

PM Rth to see if he can help you.

@Rth Homecoming

Also, check with mods to see if you can start a new NZ thread and than merge this one with it.

I would but I'm not sure if Rth is allowed to. I emailed the people who have the numbers a few weeks back and they said you had to be a paying member or something to get the numbers. Don't wanna get him in trouble.

I figured my numbers would be pretty off, since I just used a flat ER for each year. Bummer that Boy doesn't make the top 10 though.
