CJohn
Solid OW over here. I think it will sell around 26000 tickets so not bad at all. That is the same as The Family and Last Vegas did last November here. Hopefully legs will be closer to Last Vegas. Getting crushed by Noah (on his 3rd weekend will sell around 30000 tickets). TASM2 is still doing well, and families are going crazy for Muppets 2 and Rio 2. Holdovers Divergent and CA2 are also still bringing the money and new movie Sabotage is also doing well. Too many movies doing money. Edited April 26, 2014 by CJohn
JJ-8
You're saying TOW will be at 10 mill by the end of this weekend? yep. we had a public holiday on Friday. TOW is massive here and has now pulled ahead of TASM 2 (possibly on track to outgross TASM 2 at this rate.) consider this: (opening week is thursday to wednesday) Opening week for TASM 2= 8.2m Opening week for TOW = 6.9m Latest update is TOW is now running #1 and holding better than Spidey even though 1m seperated them on OW. no official figures, but my projection based on what I know at the moment is: TOW = 3.5m to 4m (basically flat or small drop) TASM 2 = 3m to 3.5m (somewhere close to a 30% dip) EDIT - this figures are AUD so 10m USD is very possible looking at this. 2nd EDIT: The per screen average of over 22k was the top 20 best nearly 7k above Spidey's average too. Films
Massive £2.7M from the UK (I'd guess about $4.2 or $4.3M). Should have good legs. Next week is pretty much a 4 day weekend with the only direct competition being neighbors which weirdly opens on a Saturday (but some reports say its just previews). The next direct competition is blended on 23rd which is another 4 day weekend. Hoping for £10M. Will predict £8.2M
