The Walk | Zemeckis, Joseph Gordon-Levitt | Sep. 30, 2015 in IMAX 3D | Wide Release on Oct. 9

Recommended Posts

Hm. Mine are probably:

1. The Assassin

2. Steve Jobs

3. Bridge of Spies

4. Room (So great. Saw it at TIFF and have a press screening and interview with the director next week.)

5. Truth (Saw it at TIFF. Loved it.)

6. Crimson Peak

7. The Martian

8. Burnt

9. Suffragette

I'm see The Walk at a press screening next week. Meh.

I forgot about Room! It's apparently my little sister's favorite book, and she's telling me we HAVE to see the movie. But there's zero chance it's making its way to our theatre, so ill have to wait until its On Demand.

It is devestating. I thought it was supposed to have a good expansion.

Ooh, if we're doing October anticipation:

1. The Martian (although I am seeing it in September)

2. The Lobster

3. Macbeth

4. Crimson Peak

5. Suffragette

6. The Program (only because I know the person upon which the film centers)

7. The Walk

0. MONTY PYTHON AND THE HOLY GRAIL RE-RELEASE!

You are so lucky to be getting The Lobster and Macbeth! I won't get those until 2016 unless they go to AFI.

Lmao, I take back what I said.

Sony is gonna kill it even before it reaches wide release.

Again though, we don't know how many critics have provided ratings. With a movie still a week away, there is a chance not all critics have seen it.

I can't get why Sony has embargoed Hotel Transylvania 2 though, Critics Choice is very solid for it: http://www.criticschoice.com/search?s=transylvania

What is criticschoice? Who is included in the aggregator?

It is the Broadcast Film Critics Association. http://www.criticschoice.com/bfca/

Their full member list is here: http://www.criticschoice.com/members/bfca

But not all of them will vote on all movies. I think every movie will get around 100-120 votes.

Right right right. BFCA, I've never known the URL.

Their consensuses seem to be different from US critics and other world critics often. The Assassin is a good example of this.
