SpiderByte
So with Disney speeding up its acquisition of Comcasts Hulu share, we should hear soon about whatever plans they have for the merged Hulu and Disney+ app, since they said itd launch this year and theyve been kinda vague about it

Was Chapek forced on him by board. I would blame the board on the way transition was done and Iger takes a big part of it as he had been CEO for so long and he should have planned his succession better. Look at how Starbucks/Schultz handled succession. Iger gets a F for sure. I'm sorry, what? Why couldn't Iger just renovate his mansion's home office to have a replica of his old vanity and fancy shower, and move on with his life? The office itself was the status symbol. CEOs and their egos are something else... Edited September 9, 2023 by BoxOfficeFangrl

Hades
So Iger will likely stay beyond 2026 if he does not find a Puppet/Scapegoat CEO replacement then

Morieris
The movie panel should have happened, as the schedule says 9 AM with a break at 10 30 AM, and it's at Coronado Springs in Orlando. Guess there wasn't a lot of interesting things.

Guess strike is really going to mess up release schedules esp for the MCU so studios going to hold out on any big announcements.
MovieMan89
Their D23 for the theme parks was pretty infuriating. They pulled the same crap as last year where they said “here’s what the Imagineers would love to make, but ASTERISK it’s a pipe dream while we figure out how many millions the execs all need to take home first.” Spoiler alert, the stuff they showed like that last year has all disappeared from even being mentioned. Ugh, I really hope Universal becomes the new theme park leader in Orlando with the opening of their third park, which they seem to investing a crapload of money into. Disney doesn’t seem to care about major investments at Disney World in the near future.

This was a smaller scale thing in Florida mostly focused on the parks. 1

GOTG3 budget is $250m & its WW P&A cost is $150m not $100m like that guy think. It needed $400m in theatrical revenue to break even but it made $361m(50% of US, 40% OS-China & 25% China). Disney is able to get more than 50% DOM, likely 60%, particularly for huge opening MCU. I also believe it's closer to 45% OS.

AniNate
The only people who really know how much profit Guardians or any Disney movie has made is Disney themselves. It's definitely their biggest bright spot of the summer regardless.
