Still too small. He needs to be at least 3 times that size to stand a chance against Godzilla. Remember its not only Godzilla's size that gives him a huuuge advantage but also his atomic breath and other physical attributes.

How did Kong even win the first time?

Size isn't everything. Godzilla has lost to much small opponents.

NO it doesn't but overwhelming size is everything. Kong is out of his league by miles not just a simple size difference. An ant can't defeat a human being.

He got fucked over by a baby moth 4 times before he finally saw it coming. Kong has more fighting skill and is more agile it seems

Kong isn't an Ant to Godzilla. Kong will have Speed and agility on Godzilla. Size and power mean shit if you can't hit your target. (And that godzilla got beat by something comparable to an ant as well.)

That was a sillier time for those monster movies. I doubt think modern audiences are going to be easily fooled by that this time.

Im talking about the 2014 version

Besides going by the trailer Kong is larger than the villain in the 2014 version too, so i dont see the big deal? Godzilla is real slow

Kong is 100 feet tall in this film. In Godzilla, the smaller male MUTO was--according to various sources--anywhere from 60-91 meters tall (or 200-300 feet). So no, Kong isn't big enough to fight Godzilla.

But that's why Kong: Skull Island takes place in the 1970's, and why Godzilla took place in 2014. It was made known from a NYCC promotional item that

this iteration of King Kong is an adolescent. He has 40+ years to grow.

Everything else, though I agree with. Kong has a speed advantage, whereas Godzilla lumbered when on land. Not to mention, Kong appears to be more acrobatic than the latter. It should be an entertaining fight.
