People may party but they still go to work /school.

What? It's still the "Holiday Season". I didn't say it was Christmas Vacation. And for the record, most people work during the holiday season anyway. They have Christmas and NY off.

What has "Holiday Season" got to do with anything? Yesterday was a normal day, just like a regular monday in i dunno March or September. People don't go more to movies just because holiday is in the air, they go when they have more time available.A lot of people must have off in the last third of December or else midweek numbers would not be as big as they are, especially those that go to school.

You have a valid point. But the holiday season has started regardless of all of that.Last year people went to the movies during this time. Edited by ECSTASY

Sure, and fall movie season starts in September. My point is, the way ECSTASY worded it, it seems like he way saying people go to the movies more this time of the year. Box office data doesn't support that. A Monday in the first halt of December is pretty much like every other Monday.

Didn't more people go to the movies last year during this season? I wasn't specifically talking about just this Monday. And you didn't even dispute that at first. Your first argument was that the Holiday Season didn't start until next week. It is the holiday season and usually the movies released during this period are of better quality and have much better box office. Edited by ECSTASY

That's not true. Around Thanksgiving people have a few days off (i assume, i don't live in the USA), that's why numbers are inflated, and as previously said in the last third of December, leading up to Christmas and New Year. Otherwise box office behaves ordinary. As far as Holiday Season goes, i meant the time when people actually don't have to work or go to school.
