But you gotta rank them.

Like this:

1. Raiders of the Lost Ark

2. Jaws

3. Jurassic Park

4. Close Encounters of the Third Kind

5. Schindler’s List

6. E.T.

7. War Horse

8. Titanic

9. The Lost World: Jurassic Park

10. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade

11. Munich

12. Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom

13. Avatar

14. Saving Private Ryan

15. Aliens

etc

EDIT: note that I am ranking by the music, not by film quality. Otherwise Aliens would be much higher, Titanic much lower, etc

Now this is my kind of crazy...

The X is almost 12m ahead of Cap 2. How can it NOT beat Cap? It looks to be on pace to make more.

What are these numbers in the thread title supposed to refer to?

Real time matinee numbers, according to spatula. Maleficent on par with Oz and Days of Future Past currently 24% ahead of Fast 6 2nd Friday.

Friday Update #3: Sources tell BoxOffice that Maleficent is trending for an opening day north of $25 million (including Thursday's night $4.2 million), which would set it in course for an excellent $80-85 million weekend.

Sources also report that A Million Ways to Die in the West may bring in around $8-10 million today for a weekend around $21-23 million.

Meanwhile, X-Men: Days of Future Past is holding up well in Friday matinees with business on track for around $15 million today. Should that figure hold, the sequel could tally for $48-50 million this weekend.

Who is working the multipliers for BO.com? 25 including 4M midnights would not get it to 80M, unless north of 25 means 30M.

Man I reallllly called Maleficent wrong.  I think I said 45 OW in the Summer Game.  Just thought the visuals looked subpar and the audience seemed too focused.  Another lesson in why I should never underestimate Disney.

Cap will have a bigger Friday than DOFP today. April / May bumps differ.
