ban1o
Gravity is overrated, and not a blockbuster really. Gravity is a blockbuster. Doesn't blockbuster just mean a film that is huge in scale and attracts a large audience? Gravity is both of those things.

Claire of Themyscira
Ben Fritz @benfritz 1m Early grosses indicate "Fault in Our Stars" could easily do $50M-plus for the weekend. "Edge of Tomorrow" looks like 25-30.

Manu Delpech
It's funny, I was waiting for a huge Gravity backlash but it never came. Really? I think it's very real, around the awards season, it was very present. Still is today I think, a lot of people can agree that visually, it's a real accomplishment, but aside from that, it's just super hollow, there's no depth (and I remain unconvinced by those saying the movie is actually really deep and works on a subconscious level, bla bla), the script is weak (not that it matters here) it's just an experience with Cuaron showing off for 1h30, but hell, that's just my opinion. At the end of the day, I'd rather watch a character driven movie that will really resonate with me emotionally and will have me thinking about it after. simbaqueen
If only WB had put the same effort into marketing EOT as they did with Godzilla.

Oh but wait, you're in Dallas, lol. They had a crazy number of sell outs last night right?

Well, once you step out of the movie theater and watch it on a TV or even a big screen that's still tiny compared to the movie theater experience, it just doesn't have enough going for it to sustain the hype.
