This can't be worse than the God-awful Sonic games Sega regularly releases...

Hey, Sonic Mania and Sonic Mania Plus were insanely good.

Sonic Generations also performed really good.

Sonic Boom games sucked, though. At least the cartoon is funny, hopefuly there's gonna be a third season.

In terms of Carrey’s next movie, it’s Paramount’s feature take on Sega’s Sonic the Hedgehog. He plays the villain Dr. Ivo ‘Eggman’ Robotnik.

“It will be live-action,” says Carrey about the character.

How will the stand-up-of-a-thousand-faces create him?

“Magic!” shouted Carrey to the TCA crowd, “mixed with desperation.”

Hum, that's interesting...I wonder how they're going to do that.  I can't wait to see how Carrwy will portray that character without looking like a buffoon. Robotnik is evil, unless they're going to give him the same personality from the Boom cartoon.

Carrey has a decent acting range, I wouldnt be worried.

This project is all kinds of weird though. But so is the Sonic brand so who knows. If they go for a similar kind of humor like the LEGO movie, I guess it might turn out alright? But I agree with some of the previous posters, this does feel like a movie that would have come out in a less inspired time in cinema history.
