Considering their sequels have consistently underwhelmed at the box office as of late it's not that surprising that one to a relatively modest hit got the shaft. Was anyone really going to be hyped up for this?

They probably saw most of the awful sequel performances of this year and came to the not unwise conclusion that the ship had sailed.

This is so bizarre the first on made nearly $600m. HTTY2 was the only animated film (for DW) since it's release to outgross it. I didn't love the film so I'm fine with it, but from a business perspective this doesn't make any sense, even if it grossed less domestically it almost certainly would have been a hit for them overseas.

Ferdinand pushed to Dec 2017 (instead of Croods) leaving summer 2017 with only Cars and DM3.

Speaking of DW films that drop off the face of the earth - what's the status on this? Bollywood Superstar Monkey seems to have disappeared too.
