Atreus and Thyestes share a core theme, one of proud trumpets and trombones augmented by some strumming strings, but as the film goes on the theme diverges into a variant for each: Atreus' is dark and angry, with the strings being dominated by slower cello notes punctuated by flashes of horns showing his rage, and Thyestes' is melancholy, with the horns almost all disappearing to lonesome, mourning string notes with some wistful woodwinds poking in. Aerope has a brief romance theme, one of sly yet sweet strings with some other instruments backing them up. Aegisthus' theme is brooding, with violins and sad woodwinds showcasing a life devoid of anything except revenge for his family. Agamemnon's theme is very martial, with a lot of horns backed up by strings and drums to showcase a man whose first love is war and power. Clytemnestra has a theme as well, mellow and yearning woodwinds and strings slowly blossoming into a blissful arrangement) Best Cinematography Best Editing Best Costumes Best Production Design Best Makeup Best Sound Mixing Best Sound Editing Edited December 11, 2014 by 4815162342
ChD
5 centimeters per second Best Adapted Screenplay Best Cinematography Best Original Score - Hans Zimmer (A slow, peaceful score that uses mostly piano and violin over big orchestras, and which starts out as really light and 'playful' and then gradually becomes more emotional as we advance in the movie, becoming once again light during the last scene of the movie) The Beast of Loch Ness Best Picture Best Original Screenplay Best Original Score - John Powell (Starts out as an action oriented score and gradually becomes darker and darker throughout the movie. Large orchestra, as usual for Powell) Best Animated Feature Best Sound Mixing Train to Paradise Best Picture Best Director - Alfonso Cuaron Best Actress - Saoirse Ronan Best Supporting Actor - Kevin Bacon Best Supporting Actress - Patricia Clarkson Best Original Screenplay Best Original Score - Jóhann Jóhannsson (A score that varies in between being dark and brooding in the flashbacks and being light, hopeful and encouraging during the present time scenes) Best Cinematography Best Film Editing Edited September 3, 2014 by ChD
