Michael Gary Scott
No Tree of life was tortuously boring...This is just like pirates 4.Run of the mill big action blockbuster. No pirates was actually good. This is just laughably bad with the worst screenplay since batman and robin.
boomboom234
This was boring after the first hour and a half we all started checking our phones to see how much longer. The worst movie of the year and worst transformers movie by far. I enjoyed the first three even liked 1 &3 but this was an abortion plain and simple. It felt like it was 6 hours and I the only place where I have seen worse acting is porn and even that's debatable
Jessie
So just watched this. I must say the film started off quite well, the introduction to the characters was good enough. Marky marks little helper was genuinely funny (though I find him funny in pretty much everything I see him in) and it would have been good to see him last a little longer. I cared enough about the characters, it was the middle act that dragged for me, they could have cut about 45 mins off the movie and it would have been a very good popcorn movie. What I loved about this was Bay's sly little digs towards all the critical hate his previous films got. For example one of the main complaints I hear on the internet about T3 was how Prime brutally murdered the antagonist at the end, I was fine with this but obviously others weren't. Bay's answer to that is to do the exact same in this one, and make it very clear that he's going to do so early on when Prime says (i made a pack not to harm humans but when I find who's responsible for this, im going to kill them). At this point I could imagine all the critic face palms being spread around but I thought it was a hilarious dig at them. As the film progressed, it ended with prime brutally killing his enemy, literally it would have been an R rated worthy kill if they weren't Robots, and then there was him shooting the human responsible, all in the space of a few minutes. Kudos that that one Bay.I'm not going to sit here and pretend this was a very good movie with a very good plot but a bad plot has been the main complaint with all 3 films, why would anyone go into this expecting any different? Once again I found my enjoyment in this with the Bay humour delivered by the likes of Stanley Tucci (he was a scene stealer) name d the occasional Marky Mark banter, granted not all of the jokes work but some work very well whether people like to admit it or not. Once again the action was very well staged, it was clear and it had some of the most amazing money shots in history during the final act. Like it or not but Bay is most likely the best and most consistent action set piece directors in Hollywood. He's doing this every 2-3 years and outdoes himself every time.overall I went in with low expectations hoping for mind blowing action. What I got was mind blowing action and the occasional funny one liners here and there, admittedly it was far too long but after seeing it's 16% RT score I was expecting to see complete shit for 3 hours but once again I thing the reviews are just being biast, There are so many many poorly made and less enjoyable films out there with higher ratings If I was a critic,.I'd have to score this a D+However, I'm not a critics so I'm going to score this a C+/B-

Jay Beezy
No pirates was actually good. This is just laughably bad with the worst screenplay since batman and robin. Pirates 4 was a blandbuster. All the ambition from its predecessors gone.
Jessie
Also for someone who is hard to be impressed with 3d in movies, the 3D in this was excellent.

KATCH-2D2
Also for someone who is hard to be impressed with 3d in movies, the 3D in this was excellent.Really? I might consider watching it for the 3rd time just to see what it look like in 3D. This was boring after the first hour and a half we all started checking our phones to see how much longer. The worst movie of the year and worst transformers movie by far. I enjoyed the first three even liked 1 &3 but this was an abortion plain and simple. It felt like it was 6 hours and I the only place where I have seen worse acting is porn and even that's debatableI wish I could hate it that much. Would make my life a lot easier. Still can't get how can people think this one is worst that part2 & 3. I just can't. Edited July 7, 2014 by KATCH

Community Manager Water Bottle Posted July 8, 2014 Community Manager Share Posted July 8, 2014 C- Yes it has amazing action sequences and good directing. The story is crap and the (human) characters slowed the movie down. Seriously, couldn't we just get a movie with the transformers and almost all the humans are in the background? They were on the run and frankly it would have made for a more entertaining movie.
4815162342
Pirates 4 looked like it should have been made straight for TV, the production looked cheap. The final confrontation is a bunch of extras running around with guns and swords on a TV interior set basically.
RobinHood26
Goes to show how important pacing is in a movie. I give this a 65 but if it was 2 hours in and out I'd probably give it a C or C+.
ACCA
Exactly what I expected, nothing more, nothing less. A decent B grade from me. Lots of action, explosions, one-liners here and there, and of course Transformers. Wahlberg was a big improvement over Labeouf, and the Dinobots were absolutely bad ass! Also Nicola Peltz was the most engaging female supporting actress in the series since Megan Fox in the first film. Other than that, very generic storyline, and nothing really that memorable. A forgettable film, but a solid one.
Punishment
Went in with low expectations and they were met. I agree with many of the other comments on the slowness/pacing issues of the movie; it really seemed to drag for the last hour or so. C- for me; I still enjoyed the action sequences.
tommycruise
it certainly isnt the cinematic antichrist but its far from good either. I remember watching the first one and enjoying how fresh everything was but this just feels stale. Even some of the action sequences. As others have said it overly bloated, loud and stupid in some of the dumbest ways possible. I did laugh at some parts, especially stanley tucci and this is still marginally better than ROTF but its clear that Michael Bay isn't even trying at this point. Either this series should be retired or they should get a different(more talented) director. C-

There aren't many action directors out there more talented than Bay. Edited July 14, 2014 by jessie
tommycruise
How many times must it be said that changing director would not help this franchise. There aren't many action directors out there more talented than Bay.Sure he is good at directing action sequences, one of the best working today in fact. But at this point he clearly doesn't care about anything other than special effects. So maybe he should get an actual screenwriter to make a plausible story along with dialogue and characters.

But its transformers, its a lame concept in the first place. The moment they take it too seriously is the moment no-one gives a shit.
Goffe
ATTENTION: I watched it with ridiculously low expectations the first 30 minutes were really good, I almost thought Bay would make another good Transformers, but then came the explosions, loud noises, explosions, more explosions, it was so hard to keep paying attention, everything started not making sense. Some minor complaints are how bad Transformium FX looked and depowering the villains in the climax. The score was kind of bland, there was nothing that stood out like in the previous movies, the best parts were recycled themes. On the bright side, there weren't many comic reliefs like the last two, the scenes in the ship were refreshing, and Peltez wasn't bad as I thought she would be, let's say she tried to act, unlike that chick from the third one. I kinda biased against Marky Mark, but I think he was the best part of the movie, he showed charisma and decent enough acting, I also liked his relationship with his daughter. I really appreciated the more serious tone, the comic relief dying in the "beginning" film was a good and fresh surprise. I wasn't bothered by the product, but it was there, I understand how it could distract some people . I like Bay, I think he's extremely talented, the cinematography in his movies are always crazy good (albeit very similar), I just think he needs a better editor, one brave enough to say "Michael this is too much". I'm sure there was a good movie somewhere.. 50/100 TF1 75/100 TF4 50/100 TF3 40/100 TF2 30/100 Edited July 16, 2014 by Goffe
Romet Loodus
I don't understand the people who give this movie a very low rating. Sure it has it's flaws, but if you watch a lot of movies (I mean A LOT), then compared to all of the slow low budget movies out there, this one is awesome. I don't know what others are comparing it to, when they rate it, but if you like action movies, then it's worth watching. I give this 7/10 (the first Transformers movie got 8/10 from me).
