Collin Farrell comes to mind.

I think wizards will cast a spell on him, to prevent the film from flopping.
filmlover
Hollywood has pretty much given up on Colin Farrell as a big movie star at this point after a whole decade of trying and not succeeding (sure, he just had a lead role on True Detective: Season 2 but that was most likely because of bigger names passing on it). He tends to fare best in supporting roles anyway.

Moreover a director with talent knows what material is worth-directing and what is not. Also a director with talent can misfire: not 3 times in a row. She didn't made Unbroken and By The Sea because she needed money but only because she thought they were "good" projects.

She has tried directing a commercial movie aimed at a mass audience with "Unbroken" has tried a niche art house film with "By The Sea "and has come up dry both times with both critics and audiences. I don't blame Jolie for trying, but (to quote Dirty Harry) You got to know your limitations, and she should stick to acting, which she is pretty good at. Time for you and Brad to do Mr and Mrs. Smith 2, Angelina. Edited November 7, 2015 by dudalb

But I think The film industry has pretty much given up on making him a big box office draw. He just never had the kind of charisma you need for that. It was the lack of charisma that made him such a poor choice in "Alexander". Alexander the Great is the ultimate example of the Charismatic leader, and Farell was a total fail in that regard. Unbroken was GREAT material and she had the highest level cinematographer and screenwriters to work with. It got mediocre reviews but better than this movie and it made a profit for the studio which a lot of great movies by top notch directors don't. What hurt it's perception was I think the bizarre and premature belief it was an Oscar contender a year before it was even released as if she was already an established acclaimed director. There have been good and even great directors who've made mediocre or bad movies, sometimes a few in a row. She has decades ahead of her to hone her craft if this is what she wants to pursue. It can take several films for a director to find their footing, it's that most don't do it in such a strong spotlight with so much studio backing. The big studio backing is what she might have to do without for awhile if she makes another movie like this. No one is saying this lol. I think she clearly has talent, she just can't maintain it throughout two hours. She is a mess, but occasionally has a very inspired moment. Halba
unbroken was actually decent. good cinematography(deakins) and good acting by the lead. but the script and direction not true to the book's ideals. by the sea looks like jolie has hit a new low. hard to see further work from her. Jayhawk the Hutt
Jolie is one of the most connected people in Hollywood. She'll get many more chances to direct. She needs to grow as a director but she certainly has talent.

LUL no, sequel and same action flick like the first one would suck for their on-screen reunion. With better or worse results By The Sea is exactly what they should've done, something completly different than Mr. and Mrs. Smith
TalismanRing
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/will-by-sea-kill-hollywood-842647 Quote But now the studio stands to lose as much as $40 million on By the Sea, according to two knowledgeable sources who place the film's budget at closer to $25 million than the $10 million Universal insists it cost (and the marketing expense at $15 million). The film grossed $185,000 from 126 theaters in its second week of release and has amassed a paltry domestic haul of $313,000 so far. One source scoffs at the $10 million figure, noting that Jolie Pitt's directorial debut, In the Land of Blood and Honey, a Serbian-language war film with a no-name cast, cost $13 million. Quote But even if Universal loses tens of millions of dollars on By the Sea, the studio is gambling that by backing Jolie Pitt's artistic whim, she will be amenable to starring in its tentpole Bride of Frankenstein, which is part of the Monster's universe from producers Alex Kurtzman and Chris Morgan, or a long-hoped-for sequel to Wanted. Surprised they're gambling and didn't have a tit for tat deal in place before hand.
