K1stpierre Posted July 2, 2014 Share Posted July 2, 2014 If you set your show in the middle of Manhattan - one of the most racially diverse places in the world - then yes the omnipresent whiteness of not just the main cast but almost everyone they interacted with is more than a bit odd. Even odder than those big apartments they could all afford even though at least half of them were always out of work. (though they get points for making one rent controlled and inherited from Granny). Lol! I do agree in how unrealistic it was that they had those huge apartments with little money they made I'm sure they've lead many young adults from watching that show into thinking getting your own apartment is great and wonderful.......until reality smacked them in the face 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
