Reactions are majority positive, so this probably will pull an MPR / Cinderella on RT, nothing spectacular but still really solid.

 

Probably won’t be bad since they’re not hiding like they did with AWIT / Nutcracker

Not surprising, this has looked great from the start.

Not surprising at all as Farrell haven't had a bad movie since... hmmmm Total Recall? Even that movie was quite bearable.

Also this is the 2nd time Burton, Keaton, and DeVito worked on the same movie. The 1st time was Batman which broke the opening weekend record after it had been broken a week prior.

After reading all the early reactions I am sold. This will have a stronger opening than expected, and I am happy with that since I loved the original when I was kid. I saw it dozens of times!

Planet Of The Apes, Willy Wonka, Alice In Wonderland. All three are movies that got botched remakes from Burton.

I like his Charlie & The Chocolate Factory, but POTA and AIW are his biggest misses imo, but he's been on a strong stride lately between Dark Shadows (unless you hate it), Frankenweenie and Big Eyes (which is really excellent). Didn't care for Miss Peregrine, that was really subpar coming from him.
