TServo2049 Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 (edited) The Hobbit trilogy doesn't retroactively tarnish the LOTR trilogy, just as the Star Wars prequels don't retroactively tarnish the (pre-Special Edition) original trilogy. Edited July 14, 2014 by TServo2049 1
Hatebox Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 The Hobbit trilogy doesn't retroactively tarnish the LOTR trilogy, just as the Star Wars prequels don't retroactively tarnish the pre-Special Edition original trilogy. But they did! Now Darth Vader and Obi-Wan are totally boring to me. /half-joking.
The47th Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 What I really miss is the craziness whenever a new book came out. I spent 24 hours straight reading Goblet of Fire from beginning to end, only stopping to take my meals. I was feeling a little dizzy when I finished, but it was so worth it. It took 48 hours to finish Order of the Phoenix, but then I did sleep for about 6 hours the night from Saturday to Sunday. 2
redfirebird2008 Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 BTW Redfirebird it's probably best advised that you watch the films from the beginning, instead of starting from the penultimate film. I don't need your advice. If the premise interested me at all, I would have watched them from start to finish.

tommycruise Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 While I was never a big fan of the series I did see every movie after POA in theaters and it was extremely fun to watch DH2 break so many records. WB deserves an enormous of credit for making this the biggest franchise ever
4815162342 Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Potter was an impressive cinematic achievement that also provides a great teaching example of the difficulties and challenges of long-term literary adaptations. 8
