I would enjoy some news on this like a release date maybe. Don't wanna rush the master but it did wrap principal photography over a year ago. ANOTHER THING I BLAME FUCKING VINYL FOR

I wouldn't worry too much about it. The Big Short didn't have a release date until late September last year.

I'm honestly growing pretty doubtful it'll be released this year. Paramount already has three other big award contenders, and so far this is the only one that hasn't been dated.

Isn't Allied still filming? I don't know how it'll make it to this year unless they really rush it along.

for surre. it's crazy to call scorsese an underrated filmmaker in any capacity but a lot of his quieter, more contemplative works like age of innocence or last temptation or whatever get kinda shrugged off in favor of his 'cooler' films when those quiet ones are some of his best. i could see this falling into that category.

Scorsese has made some great movies that don't exactly fit the "Scorsese movie about the rise and fall of a criminal/sociopath" brand. I think After Hours and Last Temptation are much better movies than Mean Streets but the latter is much more famous because it fits the description of the "Scorsese movie".

Yeezus, fillmakers with creative control always tend to have very long films.

Masterpieces mean long films ?

Was Halba right all along ?

I would say so most of the times despite the counter examples you would give me to dispute the claim.

Well, at least the Weinsteins aren't around this time. I always wanted to see the original cut of Gangs of New York.

I also don't think his "contemplative" works are that underrated. Raging Bull is still considered his best film by many. I'm in love with it myself.
