Purge - 3.45 (+7%)

Planes - 2.32 (+25%)

Sex Tape - 1.96 (+27%)

Transformers - 1.43 (+23%)

Canada has the famous cheap Tues but generally in the U.S. weekdays are the same price as weekends though there are matinee prices - also usually available all week.

I expected a bigger increase for Apes2 

 

About 14% compared to last Tues 17%. But it's showing itself to be more adult skewed and weekend heavy.  If it has the same % drops and rises for the rest of the week as last it's looking at around a $19m w/e.

I had a pretty good, but not strong, feeling from the get go Purge 2 was gonna be more well received than Purge 1 from both critics and audiences, despite opening a bit lower. It took to the streets, which is where a Purge movie should be set.

Thanks. I guess my country is different. We have almost no discount days besides the occasional public holidays. Tickets here cost 12.50 on weekends but only 10 for students . On the upside, tickets on weekdays cost $7-9 at most. So i have been mostly watching movies on weekdays, if i have the time though
