TheseDays
I don't know to be honest. I'm certain that the book was quite popular in the US, but I honestly didn't see that many people reading it here in Mexico. Really? It was absolutely everywhere here in Brazil. peludo
14k admissions sold in Spain in 6 days. Better than Hobbit and Mockingjay. I guess that we can see record 2nd weekend drops.

peludo
?extremely frontloaded. IMO, this can follow a similar pattern to Twilight in terms of drops Edited December 31, 2014 by peludo
CJohn
The 2nd weekend drop is gonna be legendary everywhere.
CJohn
In Portugal schools are closed because of Carnival in that week. The 7 day opening is going to be gargantuan. The drops after that are gonna be absolutely amazing to see.
DAJK
180-220M honestly I have no idea :/ does anyone think reviews will affect the box office? A 20% on RT as opposed to 80%...
IndustriousAngel
Presales differ very much from theater to theater but it's clear that this will have a massive start in Germany+Austria, 1mil admissions in Germany look likely and it might even reach Hobbit dimensions (In admissions, not US$). So huge success in Europe, DOM and Latin America. $600m WW is probably a lock. It will bomb in Asia that's quite obvious ^^"
IndustriousAngel
Some theater chains in Germany claim that presales PTA-wise are the strongest ever (and that includes stuff like Hobbit, Twilight or HarryPotter) it won't get that many theaters but a start in the range of 1.5mil admissions seems possible.

Ok, I am very temped to start a 50 Shades>Ant-Man WW club.

This enthusiasm is really weird given I absolutely know nobody interested in the movie, for now. This phenomenon is only about women between 40 and 55 or it's also interesting for women in their 20s? Fullbuster
Ok, I am very temped to start a 50 Shades>Ant-Man WW club. Ant-Man is a new franchise while 50 Shades is a huge literary success, I would bet on 50 Shades anytime, even if Ant-Man is way more tempting IMO

I can see them with the book everywhere.

Fullbuster
Won't be released in China. Given its R rating it was expected, no surprise here ^^
Fullbuster
UK, Brazil and Australia will probably be its biggest OS markets!
Fullbuster
The release is closer than ever so a real UP is apropriate. Make your predictions guys I expect $650m WW -> $250m in the US and $400m OS I expect $35m in Brazil and $105m in Latin America as a whole while I expect $30m in Australia and $200m in Europe, around $65m for the rest of the world. PanaMovie
I think 125M+ USA and maybe 300M+ OS so 425M WW for now..
