Weekend Numbers: GOTG - 94M (PG 180) [25.5M Sunday (Spatula) Cancel the Godzilla legs!]

Looks like we might of been wrong expecting this to bow down to Apes. :(Good for Gaurdians, but was so hoping for Apes to beat it out.

Same here at least Apes is holding its own. TMNT is coming to take a bite out of Guardians

and hopefully reel it in a bit.. TMN can hit anywhere from 70--100M.. This is going to be interesting.

If Guardians of the freakin' Galaxy beats the opening weekends for Transformers, Captain America, Spider-man, Godzilla, X-Men, Apes, etc. (all basically established franchises with very well known characters) that will be TOTALLY INSANE.

Box office story of the year without a doubt and one of the biggest box office stories of the decade.

We will have soooooo many superhero and sci-fi team-up movies coming our way. Haha.

The Inception/Interstellar/Gravity team up will be something

(If you count Gravity as sci-fi  )

BOM just made a page for Chris Pratt. He's officially made it

Kudos to Universal for snatching him up for Jurassic World.  So far, nearly everything I've seen or read about that production makes me think it will be bigger than even the most optimistic predictions.

Lol Eraser you didnt think that was coming already.

Xmen is already teaming up with the old, more Avengers films on the horizon.. Potentially

Godzilla will meet the team Pacific Rim Teamup..

Justice League will be the biggest teamup of all time if Batman,  Superman  and Wonder woman warm us up right.

Time to wake up  on that one Panda..... Neither Guardians , Avengers 2 or  SW7 or Batman and Superman

have what it takes to face the Juggernaut!!

Avengers 2, BvS, and SW7 all > Avatar 2 DOM and WW.

It's the top story of the year... until Interstellar tops Hunger Games.

Preach it, baby!

Until Exodus tops Hobbit

Dat biblical bronzer

Tons of upsets for the ages are coming, I see.

What if Night At the Museum 3 is the highest grossing film of the year?

Today's top story, the river's run red, with Night at the Museum out for blood

I am going to make an Under Alvin 3 or Narnia 3 club for that one. Haven't decided yet.
