FTF
Can someone explain to me why Paramount announced a date for the next Turtles movie, but not the next TF? There's nothing wrong with announcing a TMNT sequel, it's obviously a success, but it seems odd that they announced it right away, but haven't dated TF5 yet, despite TF4 being yet another gigantic success. Because they know they can pump out a pos TMNT sequel with anyone in less than two years and they don't care, etc…but TF5 they care more about and there are a lot more things to confirm and pieces to put in place, etc, etc. Edited August 10, 2014 by FTF

Mockingjay Raphael
I just can't believe that CA2 will make more money than TF4. This would be almost impossible 3 years ago. lol
Orestes
Funny, I had figured Guardians would end up around the 10 spot by the time its run was over, not on its 2nd weekend.

Ozymandias
Can we get more input here since public opinion will decide this, have Dawn's holds been acceptable or underwhelming? John in his wisdom seems to think it has "fallen apart" but my argument is based in similar movies in its sub genre and good OW and 2nd weekend that it's holds are standard, the one this weekend was good. Dawn's holds have been mediocre, at least if you were here on opening weekend when a number of people were saying it could flirt with 300m after the buzz around the great reviews. After seeing it, I never expected it to come close to that though because much of the movie is relatively slow paced with the emphasis being on a dynamic script/characters over spectacle. Yes, being smart and thoughtful can hurt boxoffice unfortunately, which Bayformers and Maleficent benefited a lot of not being.

Chewy
Someone should really talk Comicbookmovie users off the ledge. This has been an unexpected weekend for them. A lot of them still in denial that TMNT won the weekend easily. Those guys have been writing box office articles for years and still don't have the faintest clue how it works
grim22
TF4 will earn more just OS than other movies will earn WW. It is a monster OS.
John Marston
don't understand why Paramount let TF4 die. Should have done double features with TMNT or something.
