Three review pages in, and no-one has given it an A yet, I don't know if raves are coming for this one.

 

(I found one!, still the response while positive, isn't as enthusiastic as you'd expect for this cultural event)

Reviews won’t make any different to the box office. Only thing that will happen now is there will be a bunch of thinkpieces about how Disney shouldn’t make sequels or something

There is one A, but yeah, I'm not even expecting reviews to go up to Ralph Breaks the Internet level - that film was still hovering at around 92% at this point.

RT: Critics score is 57% while the audience score is 94%....

The audience basically gave a middle finger into the critics.

This. And also Bohemian Rhapsody , The Greatest Showman , TLK , BatB. All did big numbers and they all certainly not *that* great in front of the critic's eyes to justify that amount of money but audiences decided. Reviews are meaningless these days especially for musical movie.

People will still go and see it because RT isn’t relevant as it used to be and the score is pretty good anyway.

The critics site that usually I follow (in Italy) wrote for F2 one of the better movie reviews i have read this year, "almost a masterpiece" level. So I am very happy because they are usually right.

In my opinion critics have never misjudged a Disney movie more in their life. It just shows how out of touch they are.
