Considering it's playing more like a "kids movie" than the usual superhero movie, and that the opening weekend was much lower than the usual superhero movie and thus it's easier to drop less, I'm going with the 40% range too. 50% is probably the safest bet though and that's why Pro is going with it.

Saw Shazam! My son loved it. I enjoyed it too. I thought the beginning and middle were very strong. The ending was the weakest part of the movie. It dragged on about 15 minutes too long. I give it a solid 8/10. My DCEU rankings:

Prior to phase 1 sure but lately it's been several failures with Aquaman and WW sprinkled in. Both sides need to continue upping their game. Aquaman was great, Shazam appears to be good but I still haven't got to see it

The MCU box office is phenomenal; the quality, on the other hand can be...um...

with Captain Marvel being the latest mediocre MCU film to achieve gigantic BO thanks to the amazing reputation that the Marvel Universe has amassed (and thanks to riding the IW/EW coattails...)
