K1stpierre
Because this summer hasn't seen a failure as LOL-worthy as Sin City's. No seriously, for as dull as this summer has been there hasn't been any real bombs (at least Expendables 3 has an excuse). Edge of Tomorrow is somewhat a bomb (not to that degree). Jersey Boys too kind of flopped. Edited August 31, 2014 by k1stpierre
The Panda
Feel like they are underestimating their Sunday estimates for both GOTG and TurtlesThat would be nice, it'd be nice to see a 3 day increase for guardians
lab276
Happened a lot in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013.Only in 2010, not those other years.
Moviefanatic
Edge of Tomorrow is somewhat a bomb (not to that degree). Really wish that movie would have done WWZ numbers or something. Was definitely in the top 5 for me this summer.
Moviefanatic
That would be nice, it'd be nice to see a 3 day increase for guardians Yea...thinking it will increase closer to 10 percent today. Not enough to have a 3 day increase from last weekend but that 1 percent increase just seems too low.
Mango
Yep, I weep for humanity. Generic Marvel movie with talking tree and raccoon.
cookie
Edge of Tomorrow is somewhat a bomb (not to that degree). EoT at least saved face with good legs and strong OS. Sin City will likely have neither of those.
Ando918
I'm going to cry for hours when Ninja Turtles passes Dragon 2 domestically. Anyone know where I can find cheap Kleenex?
CJohn
Sin City is bombing OS. EoT did 365M WW on a 175M budget.

Incarnadine
It looks like most of the holdovers are doing really well and the openers suck. It looks like Let's be Cops is doing surprisingly well under the radar, it's already over 57m on a 17m budget. I found it to be wildly uneven, but the parts that worked were hilarious. I find Jake Johnson to be quite naturally funny and hope he lands a role in a better written comedy.
K1stpierre
Sin City is bombing OS. EoT did 365M WW on a 175M budget. Pretty decent. When it's all said and done they'll have made a profit of say 160-170M. It's not bad, just thought it would have been better.

Moviefanatic
Jeez...this is the second expansion for DOFP and both times they were meh. Darn
Ent
I said it before but say it again, DOFP is part of an old franchise featuring the same leads. When you are into the 7th movie, it's basicly about retaining what is left of your fanbase than attracting new consumers so late in the lifespan of your franchise....at least at home and in older overseas markets.
