CAYOM Interim Activity: Retroactive Voice Acting Oscars (Years 1-3. Year 1 Up First)

So, with Q3 of Year 9 on an indefinite hiatus due to school kicking the shit out of almost everyone, I figured it was time to revisit a piece of Oscar history.

 

In Year 4, we introduced two new Oscar categorys: Voice Acting in a Lead Role, and Voice Acting in a Supporting Role. In the 5 game years since, we have added 10 new Oscar acting winners and 50 acting nominees to the fold. But Years 1-3 remained without those extra Oscars. And, with progress on Year 9 stalled, I figure there's no better time to correct that error.

 

So, this is what we're going to do. We will go through Years 1 through 3, one year at a time, and hold nominations and voting on the two Voice Acting Oscar categories. And before you guys complain about it taking up time, it certainly takes far less time to read the animated films and blockbusters that have voice-only roles than it does to write up the stuff we haven't gotten to. Plus, there's no rush on this since it's an interim activity.

 

 

So, take a look at the Year 1 movie thread and post your five nominations for Voice Acting in a Lead Role, and Voice Acting in a Supporting Role. It will certainly take less time than you think it will.

And Year 1 is easy because really there's only 2 significant animated films and a couple other solid ones.
