Dementeleus
(Edited the title, since it's far more well known as "The Road Warrior".)As to the movie itself, it's one of the greatest and most influential action films of all time. darkelf
Probably my favorite post-apocalyptic movie that embraces the insanity of it all and one-ups the original in almost every aspect. 9/10
Joel M
It clearly is the trilogy's Dark Knight. It's so unbelievably awesome that even makes the other two movies look better than they actually are just by association. A.

Goffe
I'm more mixed towards this. It lacks the heart of the first, I didn't feel anything for anyone, don't get me wrong the characters weren't bad, but it's like they were just there. The villain is incredibly lame. Fortunately, the story is interesting and excellently executed, Mel Gibson is still charismatic, the script is slick, the final action sequence is insanely amazing and intense and the last shot is gorgeous beyond belief. Still a great ride despite the first one being better. 75/100 Edited May 1, 2015 by Goffe
jb007
Having re-watched it after watching Fury Road, I have new found appreciation for The Road Warrior. The action scenes are spectacular for 1981. In fact Fury Road action scenes look like a newer version of the same from The Road Warrior and that is a huge complement to The Road Warrior. Mel Gibson is great even in a pretty sombre role. JohnnyGossamer
Best Mad Max and one of more inventive post apocalyptic flicks on a decade rife with 'em.
Dementeleus
I'm shocked that I can't quite agree with the first half of your post, Johnny. But in general sentiment, yes.
