Does Wonder Woman have a chance of closing with 300 million domestic?

Yes, it's doing only 2 less than Man of Steel was doing in the same days of release, that movie opened with 116m and ended with 291m so yeah i think it has a chance, will be close

Wonder Woman had a massive second weekebd hold compared to Man of Steel, it will sure haVe better legs also due to positive word-of-mouth. I thibk Diana will perform very similarly to the first Guardians of the Galaxy.

By the way, GotG2 could make at least 380/390 million domestic no?

300m is 100% locked. Even with MOS legs it will gross 315m from this point. Its doing WAY better than that. 350m+ for sure. May be even 375m. Cray would be to beat Guardians.

Hopefully Rough Night does decent this weekend.

Doesn't come out in the UK til August 27th! First time we've had a delay like that in years.

But I'm going to NYC on Friday so if the weather is reaaaalllly bad I could catch it there! Lol

Referencing Ultron numbers should bring it to 385 making 380 a lock with 390 being highly possible. 400 is a stretch but still in play.

We'll see.

it would be amazing if the movie could make to $800 million globally, but it would have to make at least $400 million overseas and i don't think that's still in play for Diana Prince.

I hope Despicable Me 3 does even better than his predecessor.

can someone link me an article that shows the break down of what percentage of domestic and international studios keep

It varies from country to country, but the rule of thumb is it averages out to the studio keeps around 50% of the box office take. THat a film needs to take in twice the production costs to break even is pretty much a given in the industry.

But that does not include marketing costs, which are carried on a separate budget.
