Both were may releases. Unlike in may, 60% is ok drop to have now. Weekdays are stealing more from weekends. Bigger weekdays, smaller weekends.

Still, Guardians and Ant Man less than 60%

Also, Amazing SM 44% drop (I know Tuesday opening, but still)

July weekdays will %-wise take away more from the weekend. Also it's Friday was too big a portion of the OW, so a 59%+ drop imo. 47.5m (which I used) gives 59.4% drop.

Can I hope for 3 $100M movies b/c we're getting 3 premier (and mostly original) movies coming wide to theaters next week?:)  Dang, this is the predict thread, not the dream thread, so let me bring my choices down to a sad reality...I want to be higher, I hope they are higher, but these are my guesses for 3 movies not marketed to me...if one offers a free ticket deal (or practically free one) on Atom or Fandango, I may revise these...

Dunkirk - $38M (I'd go higher, but the market is so stuffed for this demo and 1 screen/theater is light, although the shortness of the film does enable extra screenings)

Girls Trip - $24M (R rated movies have crashed and burned all summer, this is only getting a single screen with 60 seats so far at one local and I'm not sure how many theaters overall it will get - this is again limited by the screens/showings...PLUS women comedies are tough - sometimes women show up the 1st weekend and then it dies and sometimes they take forever to get there...I'm going with the "take forever" like Bad Moms b/c of all the other R rateds that just didn't hit) - EDIT: Okay, other local just added an extra showing Friday night on a 2nd screen and this local is selling like hot cakes, so this could be a feast/famine movie depending...so I'm gonna up my guess b/c my other local could swap to the bigger theater, although looking between the 2, it is crazy the difference in sales for theaters 10 miles apart...one has Friday night shows practically sold out in 110 seat screens and the other has 10 seats sold in 60...

Valerian - I've got no idea - but it's got, at this point only 4 showings/day at one local with a 2d/3d split and 5 at the other...so wild unhappy guess is $15M - I can't blame the money spent on marketing b/c they've tried to put this everywhere, but I don't think they had the "right message" to get people here to see it...and there's too many other options for the demo...
