The first Fifty Shades was mediocre but watchable (at least it was worlds better than the book, not a difficult feat). This new one does look pretty bad, though.

Couldn't stomach the books but love the movies, hubby says no way.  Come to Colorado and watch with me Tele.  We can then tell our spouses all about it!

I find the first one well-directed and well-acted (for the most part). And an enjoyable romance. But I think she might find it boring. 

 

But go go watch the second one. I'm looking forward to it. Looks like one hell of a comedy gold mine in store. And I'm a sucker for Dakota Johnson now so I'll be there.

I love that the previews for this new one have some obviously creepy reporter dude telling Dakota's character "do you want to be kept or have respect?" while backing her up against a wall. Somebody please save this poor girl from all these bad men (Dakota was easily the best thing about the first, even if it was hard to buy her as someone who is supposed to start out as some doe-eyed Pollyanna type).
