13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi | Michael Bay | 40M on homevideo sales so far (Page 20)

Recommended Posts

Seems like a major departure for Bay. More "Pain and Gain", less anything else he has done. Then again, explosions, terrorists and MURICA!!! all play a crucial role.

After making it clear he will not be directing the next “Transformers” pic, Michael Bay may have found a project that doesn’t involve larger-than-life robots.

Sources tell Variety that Bay is in early talks to direct Paramount’s “13 Hours,” which is based on the true story recounting the attack on the U.S. Special Mission Compound and a nearby CIA Annex in Benghazi, Libya, on the 11th anniversary of Sept. 11.

Chuck Hogan penned the script based on Mitchell Zuckoff’s book “Thirteen Hours: A Firsthand Account of What Really Happened in Benghazi,” to which Paramount acquired rights in February before it was published. Erwin Stoff produces through 3 Arts Entertainment’s production shingle.

A non-Transformers Bay film? I'm automatically in. Even if it was a new Transformers film, I'd still be in for the Bayplosions . Seriously though, this is an automatic in because Bay is at his best when he's not doing Transformers.

False. The new Michael Bay will actually be called Explosions. The plot involves the world being threatened by a super-mega explosion and a team of cybernetic robot scientists must work to create a series of mini explosions that will counteract the mega explosion thereby saving earth in the process.

It's already been made

the scenario mentioned by you is literally how they save earth in the movie - a series of mini explosions to counteract the mega explosion.

LOL, can Michael Bay resist all his impulses with this one?  Its pretty serious subject matter.  I really don't know what else to say.

If the script calls for it, there will be lots of Bayplosions. If not, he can contain himself to the level of Pain and Gain.

Was hoping for Bigelow but ah well. It should be good (and sad)

Did you know Michael Bay had an intern job on the Raiders of the Lost Ark production to file and catalog the storyboards (not draw them)?

"Bay got his start in the film industry interning with George Lucas when he was fifteen, filing the storyboards for Raiders of the Lost Ark, which he thought was going to be terrible. His opinion changed after seeing it in the theater and he was so impressed by the experience that he decided to become a film director.".
