Fast & Furious 7 | 1165.6m overseas | 1518.6m Worldwide | Crosses $1.5 Billion Worldwide / 3m from passing The Avengers WW total!

BOM does not believe F7 will surpass DH2..

"Furious 7 added $195 million overseas this weekend, which includes a stunning $68.6 million on opening day (Sunday) in China.

That's a new single day record in China, and is essentially equal to what the last movie made in its entire run there. It's too early to say exactly what this means in the long run, but it's also hard to imagine Furious 7 earning less than $250 million in the world's second-largest market.

The movie also opened in Russia this weekend, where it set a four-day record with $15 million. It's already Universal's highest-grossing movie in 14 smaller territories, and it's set to expand in to Japan (its final market) next weekend.

Through 12 days, Furious 7 has earned a stunning $548 million overseas, and is a day away from passing Fast & Furious 6's $550 million. Including the U.S., the movie has already grossed $800 million worldwide.

Assuming there's $100 million more in the U.S., $200 million more in China, and $200 million more in the rest of the world, Furious 7 is on track to wind up with around $1.3 billion. That would rank fifth all-time behind Avatar,TitanicThe Avengers and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2."

Those figures are ending in 000 and that won't happen. Can F7 do 41.6M+ in these 3 numbers?

195 this weekend, 548 total, that means before the weekend it was at 353m.

Pre-OW: 60

OW: 185

Mon-Thurs: 108

2nd wknd: 109.5 + 85.5 (existing + new)

Existing might end up with 650-700?

It seems the consensus on china is 250 or more.

The rest maybe 50 or more.

Reasonable low end to me looks like 900.  High end possibly up to 1075.  You can say Paul Walker was a factor on the domestic side, but overseas it's just good marketing and a movie that really delivers blockbuster spectacle and fun.

So about 15M from OS daily plus 20M or so dailies from China...

Mon 35M OS

Tues 35M OS

Weds 30M OS

Thurs 30M OS

About 130M OS this week

Dom

Mon - 5M

Tues - 6M

Weds - 4M

Thurs - 4M

About 19M DOM

150M or so WW till Friday.

I don't think it hits 1B in 17 days.

Damn, you will collapse when this movie is beaten :o

DH2 will remain being a monster. It did $900m OS outside China while F7 seems to be headed to make "just" $600-650m in those markets. I do not like to separate China from rest of OS markets since every dollar is important independently where it comes, but it is starting to be needed to make a 3 parts division: DOM+OS+China. The 10-15 years ago mega blockbusters like Jurassic Park, HP or LOTR already made $600 million OS without Chinese help.

He's a factor overseas too. Fast 6 barely increased or stayed flat over fast5 in established markets like France, Germany, Italy, Australia etc. Furious 7 has already blown past fast6 in those countries in just 10 days.

And even in China the huge numbers outweight the market's growth. Transformers went from 37M in '07 to 65M in '09 to 165M in '11 to 300M+ in '14. That's a hugely loved franchise getting advantage of a market's rapid growth and doubling the previous gross every 2-3 years.

Fast and Furious went from 65M in '13 to 68M OD and 250-300M in '15. That's not just because it's a well marketed spectacle.
