BoxOffice.com's Top 33 Trilogies of All Time

Recommended Posts

1) Indy

2) Star Wars OT

3) Die Hard

4) Bourne

5) BTTF

6) TDK

7) Before Sunrise

8) The Man with No Name

9) Mission Impossible

10) Lord of the Rings

So many trilogies didn't make the cut because of a third subpar movie.

Top 5...will do proper list later:

1) Indiana Jones

2) Original SW

3) The Dark Knight

4) SW New

5) Bourne

IMO, these are the only trilogies that have three terrific films.  Every other trilogy contains films that are not quite as good as the rest.

FYC - Vengeance Trilogy for the win :)

If you've only seen Oldboy, you should find the other two.

If you haven't seen Oldboy, for shame!

Oh I gotta add that. Thanks.

Sympathy for Lady Vengeance is my favorite by far, though.

Same. It's arguably my second favourite Korean film full stop (after JSA [also Park Chan wook})

It's also the film out of the three that would actually be quite interesting to see in a Hollywood remake setting. (It would probably be awful but the concept could actually work)

Scorsese could do it justice if he went in full Shutter Island mode - I read that Lady Vengeance was a big influence on him when making that film, which shouldn't be surprising. But he'd probably find more interesting projects to spend his time on.
