theultimatebiu
See Lionsgate.....not every finale has to be split in two. Give us one final movie. It didn't even work that well for DH1 (a lot of it could have been cut out as the character development was minimal). I am sure MJ2 will be in 3D. Well I won't be seeing MJ1 until its on Netflix. The Stingray
I don't think it'll happen, but if GOTG were to win the year it would probably be one of the most shocking/surprising box office feats of the last 10 years. THG is a super-successful franchise with a top-billed female lead, whereas GOTG was such a wild concept that exceeded my expectations like a motherf**ker, so I don't know which one to root for either.

peludo
Both previous THG films had the same multiplier (x2.68). With a $128m opening it would finish with $343m.

Hatebox
That makes this look even worse or you could say it makes CF's opening look even more impressive. I guess it depends if you want to be positive or negative about it. I think you know the answer to that...

I still don't understand how CF was able have the same multiplier as THG even though it was a sequel. Freak of nature I guess.
