I am a huge fan of Alien and Aliens, and I am still clueless as to why they keep unearthing the dried-up carcass of this franchise just so they can unleash yet another mediocre entry that audiences quickly forget. Same thing happens with the Terminator series...

Just let it go, Hollywood.

Because when they tried to do something actually different people went "but we want the same script over and over again!"

Bleh, who wants that from a Ridley Alien film? The first certainly didn't get to be a classic by way of blood and gore. If that's true then I will easily prefer Prometheus over this. All I ever wanted from this was Prometheus 2 with better written characters.

It has the aesthetics (look and feel) of ALIEN but the relentless action and mayhem of ALIENS.

In my book that's good because I prefer ALIENS over ALIEN. But I know many who want this to be straight up horror which it ain't. Frankly, I watched ALIEN recently..I found it goofy/semi porn/b flick. When I was young I was terrified of that movie, but now not at all. ALIENS to me is just a popcorn sci-fi action movie, which I still love.

I get the porn comp for anything excessive. Alien certainly doesn't fall victim to excess however. Now if we want to talk about Aliens...

Sign of times. You know these big budget blockbusters need to have something exciting going on in the first 10 minutes. It's a shame.

What's so bad about hooking auidences? Having an action scene in the first ten minutes will most likely help the audience stay interested
