rukaio101
Some interesting factoids. Cybernetic 7 sets a new record for most Oscar nominations for an animated film in CAYOM 2.0, smashing the previous record of 9 (Held jointly by Spark and To the Moon). It is also the third animated feature to be nominated for Best Picture (after Wings of Icarus and To the Moon) and the first to be nominated for Best Ensemble. Colin Farrell, Rose Byrne, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Helena Bonham Carter have all been nominated two years in a row for Best Actor, Actress, Supporting Actor and Supporting Actress respectively. Suicide is Painless is the only film this year to scoop a nomination for each of the acting awards (including Ensemble). It also marks the fourth Best Director nomination for the Coen Bros. 26 different films received at least one nomination this year. More than half of the total 116 nominations went to the top 5. cookie
Alan Young is now the oldest actor to ever be nominated in CAYOM, beating out Christopher Lee by three years (Young is 95 while Lee is 92). Alpha
Pretty decent results for me this year. Happy that Rose Byrne got nominated for Best Actress, considering it was a tight field. Also happy that Lord of the Flies was able to snag 3 nominations.

rukaio101
Sorry guys, I just realised I made a minor mistake while adding up the total number of nominations each film got. Beauty and the Beast has 8 nominations, not 7. Also, for those interested, here are the total nominations for each member. Rukaio- 50 Blankments- 31 Numbers- 22 Alpha- 4 Spaghetti- 4 C00k13- 3 ChD- 2 Also, it's been over two days and I've yet to receive a single ballot outside of my own. Come on guys! How am I supposed to taunt you all with cryptic yet knowing comments without any votes?

rukaio101
... I still only count seven... what are they? Well, you've got Best Actress, Best Supporting Voice Actress, Best Original Song, Best Art Direction, Best Costumes, Best Makeup, Best Visual Effects and....... shit. I guess that's what I get for not double-checking my numbers. I only realised there was an error when adding together the total nominations came up one short. I've now found the actual error though and it's still positive for you. Hateful Eight Redux should have 9 nominations, not 8. And yes, I've double checked that I'm right this time.
