Well done Spectre, and it looks like 'BB8' and his pals, will overtake Skyfall next weekend to take the UK BO crown (unadjusted) Bond will be no.2 and 3 at UK BO then, and only denied top spot by that SWTFA behemoth.

mepal1
It looks like Spectre will end up somewhere around the $880 mil mark Worldwide, when every dollar is squeezed from the cinema going public. Then its off to the home market of DVD and Blu-ray sales. Does anyone here know how much Skyfall made from the home market worldwide? bangbingchan
Spectre should have passed 900M WW If France didn't get attacked.A little pity.

Purple Minion
Latest info SPECTRE: $678.2M Overseas Total / $877.4M Global Total #SPECTRE — BoxOffice (@BoxOffice) January 24, 2016 Edited January 25, 2016 by Purple Minion
terrestrial
Quote .....Spectre made $105 million less domestic and just $126m less overseas than Skyfall. But its mere overseas total ($678m) is ahead of every worldwide total for every other 007 movie save Skyfall, coming in ahead of the $599m worldwide gross of Casino Royale and the $585m gross of Quantum of Solace. And heck, if you play the whole “overseas deflation” game, you can make the case that Spectre’s overseas gross in 2012 dollars (very rough math) would be around $888m (1.3x) to $949m (1.4x) outside of America had the dollar not gained strength over the last few years. That’s speculative, but it does indicate that Spectre got a lot closer to Skyfall than I would have guessed absent other factors. In terms of domestic grosses, it was easily the second-biggest grosser of all time for the franchise behind Skyfall ($304m) and came in ahead of Quantum of Solace ($168m) and Casino Royale ($167m)..... http://www.forbes.com/sites/scottmendelson/2016/01/26/box-office-while-star-wars-broke-records-spectre-grossed-nearly-900m-worldwide/#7d31ebd0510f
TalismanRing
Still great numbers for EON and MGM but Sony is out of pocket. Sony needed it to make $1.1b just for a $30m profit. (they made $57m on the less expensive Skyfall) http://weminoredinfilm.com/2015/11/05/the-business-of-bond-everyone-wants-the-movie-rights-after-spectre-but-at-what-cost/

IndustriousAngel
It has now crossed 7mil admissions in Germany (skyfall: 7.8mil), this means #3 on the 2015 charts - behind The Force, but ahead of the Minions who just didn't jump those 7mil. In €, Spectre has overtaken Skyfall and is now #10 on Germany's all-time list. (On the admissions all-time list, it's #45 without as chance at 44) Edited February 9, 2016 by IndustriousAngel
Quigley
Something very fishy going on. Spectre had its biggest per-theater average since its 4th weekend and it's hard to believe that it actually happened. They'll have to fudge the numbers again though, if they want it to reach $200M.
fmpro
No doubt they are fudging. Its possible they did some double features with Grimsby in selected theaters and just put the money on the Spectre account..
keysersoze123
its just double features. I heard it did one with Zootopia as well. Every movie has double features boost. Its just that Sony is doing it late to hit the "milestone". This small difference is worth lots of money in tv/cable rights and so they can even buy and see free tickets to make it happen :-)
MrFanaticGuy34
I'm shocked that no one mentioned it's current gross. It's now directly at $680M OS and $880M WW. Well done, Bond........but maybe you have to do better next time.
