2015 100M Films - 29 down, 7 to go (Leo Bears the Blockbuster Burden!)

Alright, it's looking like 2014 won't beat 2013's record, but how about 2015? Discuss here!

He speaks. Over 18K posts?! I rarely come across actual posts from you.   :)   It's usually the copious (and much appreciated) likes that we cross paths.

Are you trolling? What is b?

Said if Maleficent, there is no Oz.

No, Fideeee Shadeees mentioned Oz, because it did nearly as well as Maleficent did nearly as well as Maleficent despite not having Jolie or anyone close to her drawing in it's cast. Therefore at this point I think the cast of Cinderelaa is irrelevant.

That's pretty much exactly what I mean actually. Oz didn't have a huge cast and grossed about the same as Maleficent. Plus, the Cinderella brand is (I think) stronger to girls than any actor there is. If Jolie got Maleficent to 240, branding will get Cinderella there.

Its Maleficent grossed the same Oz.

Just for the record, 2014 actually can still beat 2013's record because American Sniper and Selma will both be counted as 2014'ers. Into the Woods, NATM, and Unbroken bring the count up to 32. If AS and Selma both hit 100 we're at 34. Imitation Game is looking more and more poised to be a 100 grosser, so 35. And then Annie has an outside chance as well, 36 and a new record. Far from a sure thing that all happens, but don't count it out yet.

I agree, except I'd say Fantastic Four (Much less likely imo than Peanuts or MR2 or HT2) isn't a lock and Cinderella, Magic Mike, and Spongebob are locks

Taken 3 Surprisingly wont make it. American Sniper really took the wind out of it's sales.

So it looks like only Spongebob and Fifty Shades are locks after Jan/Feb. We'll see if Kingsman can leg its way to 100m, there isnt much competition for the rest of the month.

I think Kingsman will get there
