2015 100M Films - 29 down, 7 to go (Leo Bears the Blockbuster Burden!)

Recommended Posts

Not true, aside from SW7 HotS is like the only other movie out. it will maybe not hit it in 2015. but I'm pretty sure it will cross it.

Also DAJK. that isn't enough films. I see this year having nearly 40 100m grossers.

Which other movies do you see crossing the mark :) also I completely agree about HotS, with MI5 and KFP gone, Christmas isn't nearly as crowded anymore.

Paul Blart 2 should easily get 100. Also San Andreas.

I would say Paul Blart 2... if the original had come out in 2012 or 2013.

6 years is a long gap for comedy sequels, especially ones targeted at kids.

The best this could hope for is NATM3 numbers IMO. I definitely think it'll do better than the $57 million BoxOffice.com is predicting

you know mahnamahna I just had thought about this weekend(April 17-19) and what if Paul Blart, Unfriended, and Furious 7 were all three over 10 milion on Friday's estimates that would be pretty cool. Sorry to get off topic

Paul Blart 2 would be more likely to get $8-9 million Friday since it's a kids movie. Those usually aren't as frontloaded. From a $10 million Friday, Blart 2 could do $35-40 million for its OW!

I could see it going like:

  1. Unfriended: $30.5 million ($12 million in previews)
  2. Furious 7: $12.5 million
  3. Paul Blart 2: $10 million

It'd liven up April beyond Furious 7's breathtaking run.

Those would be decent but possibly only in our thoughts

I have a feeling that San Andreas can do it as well, but this is a great projection list.
