THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY II | 371.7 M overseas | 653.4 M worldwide

Recommended Posts

it has opened everywhere expect spain, india and greece. Off that only spain is off any significance. It did over 15m there. I am expecting a drop considering how bad the market is,ER being 15% weaker and the general trend of MJ2 everywhere. So around 13-14m across 3 markets would be good. I am thinking 140m OS weekend looking at the trend. So around 380m OS overall could be the target. If it has good legs in Europe/LA then it can hit 400m at best.

But its trending towards 280m domestic and 380m OS for 660m WW.

MJ2 will suffer in Belgium : The Belgian capital, Brussels, is on maximum alert, all theaters are closed today in the city, public transports are shut down, there is a clear threat of terrorists preparing the same kind of attacks than in Paris.

The movie is really unlucky.

Lionsgate is reporting a $61M overseas cume through Friday on The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 in 87 offshore markets. While we don’t yet have a full territory-by-territory breakdown, the final installment in the YA franchise is currently playing No. 1 in 82. The projected three-day worldwide cume is $251M. Of that, Lionsgate is eyeing a $149M offshore haul — better than Catching Fire‘s $146M, but down fromMockingjay – Part 1‘s $154.3M opening last year.
