The critically-panned superhero flick earned $58.84 million worldwide in its opening frame. Top openings include Mexico ($5.3M on 2,232 screens, 130% above Rise of Planet of the Apes), UK/Ireland ($4.2M on 540 screens), France ($3.8M on 706 screens, +136% of Captain America), Brazil ($3.0M on 892 screens), Australia ($2M on 254 screens), the Philippines ($1.7M on 332 screens), Malaysia ($1.6M on 385 screens), and Singapore ($1.3M on 62 screens). I would not be surprised if it miss that mark.

Based on territories so far, its around 1-2% below Green Lantern (made $103M overseas). With worse WOM, it has a great chance of missing $100M OS.

That $60m+ loss is starting to look closer to $90m.  I think they were betting on it still doing at least $200m+ WW.   They also never should have staggered the O/S release dates when they knew enough to change the opening from a week earlier O/S.  Germany is dead and Russia might be as well next week.

If it finishes around $150m ww that's about half of what F4:SS did and in a market with much better ancillary revenue and Fox reportedly lost money on it.

It will probably get to $85m from current OS markets and $55m from DOM. Remaining OS-C markets should yield another $15m. So China will need to do $45m for it to manage even a paltey sum of $200m.

A bonafide flop, if there ever was one.

Opening markets accounted for  $11.534m.  So holdovers were $4.666m - down 71%+ from the $16.2m last w/e.
