Weekend Numbers Jan 23-25 pg 46(AS 64 mill, Mom's cookies 15)

Actually, I would take it one step further and say that the typical people who see this movie are a pretty rugged type, and not easily scared off by some snow and wind.

Wait, are you trying to say that Southerners are not easily scared off by snow?  I'm vividly remembering parts of Georgia in a state of emergency and shutting down roads with less than an inch of snow... and areas as far north as Kentucky wasting a month worth of 'snow days' cancelling school last January.  (The kids loved it in Jan and hated it in June when classes ran two weeks longer to make up for them using extra snow days)

Getting out of school/work are completely different situations than supporting 'Murica though

Not when the interstate is shut down :P

Of course my Canadian roommate and my girlfriend from Wisconsin both think everyone from any state south of the Wisconsin border are 'Southerners' and can't handle snow.  Given the inordinate number of traffic accidents whenever we get a dusting around here, I'm inclined to agree.

OTOH: the snow certainly didn't bother Frozen's Box Office run when it was out.

Wow. 2 theaters from Kansas City Metro.  :)  Independence Commons 20 used to be the busiest in KC metro area.

I have seen more movies at Olathe 28 (used to be Olathe 30) than any other theater.

California only has 2 theaters. None in Los Angeles or San Francisco. Burbank is close enough to L.A. I guess.

I think it actually helped because there were probably people heading somewhere else sliding around on ice that appeared out of nowhere and being blown, as though by magic, toward the nearest theater playing Frozen. :what: I wouldn't put anything past Disney--they never miss a trick. ;)
