Warner would also be a good option. They can even place it under the WAG banner but 12 Strong opens the same week as P2.

Oddly, WB were involved in the original development of Paddington but put it in turnaround which is how Studiocanal ended up with it. I think WB distributes Paddinton 2 in Spain so it wouldn't be too surprising if they end up with US distribution.

My question is, will the release date change? I know Paddington isn't some huge brand, but I'd assume the new distributors would want more time for marketing.

There's a handful of family films coming up they can easily attach the trailer with (The Star, Coco, Ferdinand, The Greatest Showman). It could easily still open in its current date.

Yowza, 90 on Metacritic with 10 reviews.

How long until Paul King is hired to do a Disney fairy tale reboot?

Paul King is working on a Beatles animated film for WAG IIRC.

Paul King soon going to get a massive gig. But can he handle the Hollywood studio system?

The question you should be asking is can the Hollywood studio system handle Paul King?

It's a nice film but I still thought the bathroom scene they marketed in the teaser that put everyone off was pretty bad.

I doubt the Academy will take notice of this, but if it has any chance at all it'll need to get the hell away from the Weinstein association before it's submitted (Didn't think I'd ever say that).

Stands a really good chance of being the best-reviewed kids film since Inside Out, though.
