Thrusday Preview Numbers:

FIFTY SHADES OF GREY took in a strong $8.6M from Thursday shows beginning at 8pm in 2,830 theaters. #FiftyShadesOfGrey

Sources report that KINGSMAN: THE SECRET SERVICE brought in $1.4M on Thursday night. #Kingsman

I figured I'd lay out the rules Tele pointed out last night onto here:

Moderation:
1. This is still (despite all the hype) a numbers thread, and as such we still want people, who aren't interested in the shananigans, too be able to locate numbers easily. Whether it's myself, or another mod member, we're going to try and update the numbers of this as soon as possible (along with other releases). If anyone does find them or knows about them, pm any mod and we'll changed and update this asap.
2. I know that this movie is popular and is known for it's "riskaay" behavior, but let's keep in mind that there are still rules to follow. We'll be lenient on the rules of NSFW a little, however any direct sex talk, sex images, or anything you feel that is totally NSFW should be spoiler tagged (obviously we still absolutely won't allow boot legged images/clips of the movie, or any nudity of any kind). If you aren't sure if something is NSFW or SFW, your best bet is to spoiler tag it anyhoo and then just ask if it's okay :)
3. Last but not least, let's all be appropriate respect one another, have some fun. :) I think this is going to be a fun weekend!

I don't think that's particularly disappointing tbh. I know some people were thinking $15M+ but this is a film that people were mainly wanting to see on valentine's day. Where I am, they didn't even do Thursday night showings.

100M 3day is not out of the question at all.

Either way, I don't see how anyone can be disappointed with an opening night on par with Marvel films.
