Weekend #s | 50SOG 81m, (RTH Sunday puts it at about 84M) Kings 35.6, AS 16m, JA 9.43m (official) | all #s on p1

BOM needs to update MJ1's worldwide gross. It's hit $750m. It'll pass Maleficent to become the 4th highest grossing film worldwide of the year. Third most attended film worldwide, though, which is good.

It'll finish roughly $10m behind GoTG worldwide, which is kind of annoying but whatever. At least it sold more tickets. The fact that MJ1 is going to finish with $425m OS is really strong considering the exchange rates. CF did $439m. So MJ1 comes out on top.

Fifty Shades broke the record! Awesome!

I am still in awe of American Snipers magnificent run. It just swooped in out of nowhere with 0 fanfare and hype.

Ridiculous!

Great weekend at the box office.

Hey Neo. You were bragging about your (wrong) 68M prediction for Fifty Shades on Friday then not only did the estimates hold (which you doubted) it in fact seems to have bettered them by 3M.

Just thought you might need reminded that you were oh so very wrong.

What's so great about this weekend is that the top four are collectively massive with little to no help from that ever-important teen demo. The top four is made up of three R-rated pics and a PG-rated animated one aimed at kids.

Dat 13-16 demo is going crazy with those damn massive hits JA and SS.
