Weekend Thread - Saturday #s (Rth). 50SOG 9M, Kingsman 8, SB 7.2, AS 4.6, Duff 4.2, McFarland 4.4, HTTM2 2.2M

I do think however that at least one of these movies is going to "spike" tonight, and end up with 4+ million. I can imagine either Duff or McFarland getting around 4.1M, and one of the 3 dropping to about 2.8M (maybe Hot Tub).

A more interesting question for this weekend's thread is "Why does Costner get so many leading roles in movies when he isn't a star anymore?" Black or White - flop.  Draft Day - flop.  3 Days to Kill - flop.  Jack Ryan remake  flop.  Does the industry not have enough White male actors in their 60s to accept roles?

why do you have to judge every single person based on their gender/age/race?

You can say the same for Johnny Depp!

At least he's lead a hit in the past 5 years. No, Man of Steel doesn't count for Costner.

Black or White will end with around 25M domestically against a 9M budget (most of which was put up by Costner himself), and Mcfarland will also do 30-35M on a low budget. Granted, they aren't huge hits, but the producers will make their money back and it will do well on VOD as well.
