If this gets great reviews, and subsequently great box office, I'll be so happy that Lego Movie wasn't a fluke. I like WAG's game plan of Looney Tunes-esque comedies, and I don't want to see just Lego movies and H-B movies as their entire slate.

Yeah maybe. Some of these animations do underperform though. I guess Trolls looks worse than this.

There are plenty of Letterboxd reviews that are giving it around 3/5 or 3.5/5, so the critical response will probably follow suit.

Cloud with a Chance of Meatballs did $35m million opening weekend when adjusted. It finished with $142 million. I could definitely see Storks following the same pattern. Competition is low throughout October, which should give this good legs.

So many reviews going with the line "Storks delivers", everyone probably thinks they are original.

So, in another marketplace, quality does not count? Also, animation moviegoers are that concerned about quality? In that case, I don't think Rotten Tomatoes is a dependable judge:

Then again, the Variety author actually made a comparison between Storks and Sausage Party.
