Just tell me ONE bad movie about witches! You can't.

Witches are perfection.

(And somebody's trying to slice a piece of the success-pie of Hansel and Gretel).

I remember a really bad movie with Cage from a few years ago. Season of the Witch.

CJohn: yeah - SotW is pseudo historical/catholic. But STILL good!

And it made money.

And you know this here will be a hit in Portugal, so embrace it.

Oh yeah, I have no doubts this one will make money here with a solid marketing push.

These are some stupid YA urban fantasy crimes against the cinema. I'm talking REAL fantasy movies.

Hansel and Gretel was a GREAT movie:

I saw it 5 times

The critics saw it as the director's gem of B cinema it was

It made big money WW

It'll have a sequel

I'm with you...Hansel and Gretel was a lot of B movie fun.

This looks as generic as it gets...a mix of all the generic qualities of Season of the Witch, Hansel and Grethel, that one crappy fantasy film the name of which I forget (with Julianne Moore playing a sorceress/dragon and Jeff Bridges playing Grumpy Old Man # 345), the one about a superpowered Frnakenstein monster, etc...

Guys, I have (written/published) a series of very famous books in Bulgaria, about a quite unorthodox hard drinking monk who hunts demons and witches AND is always on the run from the Holy Inquisition. B) The latest book (I'm finishing it now) is about him facing the legendary Coven of 13 witches - and the Inquisition he helped create. He has to make some very hard choices of what is right or wrong and who is innocent or sinful...

Anyway, now you have some idea why I like such movies so much. Even if they are usually very simplistic in story and characters (compared to mine ;) ), they hit too close to home for me thematically. :) And I like the visuals.

What are the books? Link?

They are still just in Bulgarian for now. :/ So I can only brag/tease, not provide.

Should appear in English by 2016. Name of the hero will be translated as Father Vallance.

PS: Just throwing some background on my infatuation with the subject and genre.

So it sounds interesting? :) OK.

Here's a bit of the art then: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.470932111688.251823.317925396688&type=3 (first ten pics)

Yes it does!

Nice artwork, gotta give credit where credit is due. Hope it keeps going well for you. Let us know when the English version comes out. I hope every character name is a derivation of the word Shay.
