Hansel and Gretel:Witch Hunters was silly nonsense, but the writers and director KNEW it was silly nonsense,and decided to have some fun with it. The result was a fun,entertaining film..and one of the pleasenter surprises I have had in the past few years.

The Last Witch Hunter is also silly nonsense, but it seems as though the filmmakers are taking it seriously. A recipe for disaster.

But this looks more like a " God, this movie is bad" disaster rather then a "IT's so Bad It's Good": type movie.

Handel and Gretel was stupid but also incredibly fun. This looks stupid and not all that fun. But I'll check it out anyway if we get it next weekend.

That is because the writers and director Of "Hansle and Gretle" understood the material was stupid and silly,but also that you could have lot of fun with it.

The people who made "Last Witch Hunt" seem to haven taken it way,way, too seriously.

Any way Hansel and Gretle" had the advantage of some great lines;my own favorite was "whatever you do, don't eat the Fucking Candy"...something I have always wanted a chatecter in a fairy tale to say.
