yeah I'm not saying it's wrong necessarily. But their last name probably made them a prime choice to push to the supreme court.

None of the worries I had about this film materialized. There was no bombast, no melodrama, no saccharine black characters or one dimensional white villains. It was beautifully understated and engaging from beginning to end. With the exception of a couple of pieces of dialogue from the lawyers, Loving rarely needs to explain itself but trusts its audience to understand the gravity of the action. 

 

The leads were fantastic. Both Edgerton and Negga act with their eyes and their stance as much as their words. The background characters are consistently believable and well-presented.

 

I'll look forward to hearing more about this film as it enters wider release.
